Dear SAMC family,
As you know, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, SAMC has cancelled all programs for the foreseeable future. This decision was not taken lightly, and we realize that this wIll greatly impact our church life. Our pastoral staff has been developing other forms of communication, like our church website (which is regularly updated), emailed bulletins, and personal telephone calls or mailings.
The decision to cancel programs will also affect our donations to SAMC. As Council we want to encourage you to continue regular donations to the church, as you are able. We recognize that this crisis time may present extra financial burdens to some, and so we want to ensure that you only give as you are able.
Listed below are a few ways in which you can continue to make donations:
1) By cheque
Send to the church by mail (no cash, please!)
2) Pre-Authorized Debit Agreement (PAD)
This involves filling out a form in which you select the amount you want to donate and how often. Then the money will come directly out of your account, and into the church account. There is no cost to you or the church.
If you want to donate this way, please contact the church office and we will send you a form to fill out. The completed form can be mailed or delivered to the church. There is a bit of a delay in setting PAD up at the bank so please fill out this form in a timely fashion.
We are still waiting for our new website to be up and running. Once it is ready, you will be able to donate online through our website.
For now, you can still donate online through canadahelps.org. Note: There is a 2.3% fee for this service, so your donation to the church would be reduced by that amount.
We would encourage you not to make cash donations if at all possible, certainly not through the mail. If you would like to drop off money at the church in person, please phone before you come, as staff are not regularly at the church during this time.
If you have any questions please call me (204-667-0646) or Rose Enns (204-477-6690); Rose plans to be at the church office on Wednesday mornings to prepare the weekly church bulletins.
Thank you for your continued financial and prayerful support for the work of our congregation!
